Pair of attached houses. c1830. Render with limestone
dressings, party wall stacks and pantile hipped roofs.
Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. Each of 3 storeys and
basement; 2-window range. Coped parapet; right-hand doorways
have brackets to an entablature and pediment, 3-pane fanlight
and 6-panel doors; No.17 has 6/6-pane horned sashes; No.16 has
fluted keys and plain architraves to plate-glass sashes.
INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached front
area railings and gates to steps down to the basement.
