Pair of attached houses. Early C19. Render with brick and
limestone dressings, rendered party wall stacks and pantile
mansard roof. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style.
4 storeys; 3-window range. Pilaster strips to a moulded coping
and a rendered party wall pilaster with 2 windows to the left
and 1 to the right, a left-hand 2-storey canted bay with
timber pilasters and a dentil cornice, and sashes with margin
bars; other windows have 5 stepped voussoirs to 6/6-pane
left-hand sashes and 8/8-pane right-hand sashes; left-hand
dormer with sloping roof. The right return of Ebenezer House
has a blocked semicircular-arched ashlar doorway at
first-floor height with a fanlight and inserted window. The
left return of Kingsley House has a 2-storey porch with a
semicircular-arched window with stained glass to the margin
bars, and a 6-panel door to the left end. The corner has a C20
shop which partially enters the house, containing shallow
vaulted basement and 4-panel doors. INTERIOR not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached brick wall and cast-iron
fleur-de-lys headed railings to the right; attached rubble and
brick wall to the left.
