Pair of attached houses. Late C18, extended C19 and late C20.
Stucco with limestone dressings and a hipped pantile roof.
Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. Each of 3 storeys and
cellar; 3-window range. A single-depth plan C18 house with
rear rooms added mid C19. Plain parapeted fronts have
left-hand doorways with surrounds, consoles and canopies to
4-panel doors, and 8/8-pane sashes. No.28 has a second window
range to the right of the doorway with a stair light with
margin bars and a 6/6-pane sash above it. INTERIOR: No.28,
entrance hall with dogleg stair rising to right of doorway
with an uncut string, column-on-vase balusters and square
newels; 2-panel doors and panelled shutters; vaulted cellar.
