Two houses, incorporating former slaughter house with workshop for basket-
weaving above. Circa 1830 remodelling of earlier building. Main block is
rendered and whitewashed, with moulded eaves, hipped slate roof and flanking
brick chimneys. 3 storeys; 3 bays. 4-pane sashes, the lower left altered to
3-pane c1900. Central flush-panelled door with radiating semi-circular fan-
light, in fine wooden doorcase. Doorcase is painted blue and has reeded half-
columns with round reeded capitals, reeded frieze and simple wooden hoods. To
left is a C20 inserted first floor sash and a C20 door and doorcase with
pilaster strips and open pediment. To either side of main block are small 2-
storey extensions, the right with single-light windows and lean-to hood over C20
door, the left with C20 bowed wooden oriel to ground floor and C20 2-light case-
ment above. Beyond, at left end, is a lower 2-storey C19 wing of whitewashed
brick with C20 tile roof and 3 bays of irregular openings. Ground floor has C20
garage doors to left, 3-light wooden casement to centre, and C20 door to right.
Upper storey has small blocked roundel to left, and horizontal sashes, 3-light
to centre, 2-light to right. Interior: first floor room to left of main block
has reeded plaster surrounds to ceiling panels.
