Barn. Mid C18. Coursed squared marlstone with ashlar and brick dressings;
corrugated-asbestos roof. 5-bay plan with central opposed doors. Front has a
full-height door with 4-course brick quoins, 2 high-level openings and scattered
square ventilation openings; steep-pitched roof has a toothed brick eaves course
and ashlar gable parapets. Rear door is lower and has a brick relieving arch.
Interior: walls are lined with brick; trusses have collars and tiebeams, and
they support 2 rows of butt purlins with through tenons; rafters are all jointed
at the apex. Formerly known as Park Corner Barn. Possibly built as a result of
the improvement of the Adderbury House estate under the Duke of Argyll.
