House. 1888-1890. Architect H.B.Measures, builder William
Willett. Flemish-Queen Anne Revival style. Red brick,
terracotta dressings, tile-hung gables with bargeboards,
steeply pitched hipped clay tile roof with large ornamental
stack rising from above entrance porch through gabled dormer
on facade, simple stacks rising on returns. Plan:
double-fronted. 2 storeys plus attic, 3 bays, mixed
fenestration with leaded upper lights, large timber-framed and
tile-hung gable end right with dormers on returns, baluster
parapet to 2-storey canted bay, moulded cornice, ground floor
cill carried on brackets with window box guard surviving,
small dormer windows in gable left framing chimney flanked by
windows at first floor level, ornamental plaque at base of
stack above gabled porch with lugged surround to recessed
panelled door with inset lights and sidelight. Gatepiers brick
and terracotta, resited: hexagonal with ogee caps.
