Corner shop and house behind, formerly 2 properties. Corner
property dated 1743 on sundial, house with bowed bay probably late
C18. Random coursed rubble stone with quoins, hipped stone slate
roof, no stacks visible. Bowed bay has slate roof and truncated
brick stack. Squarish corner range of 2 storeys with bowed bay
along St John's Street and single-storey wing to far east end.
Corner block facade to St John's Street has two 12-pane sashes with
moulded wood architraves in plain stone surrounds with stone and
iron sundial between on first floor. Ground floor has plate glass
shop front with moulded stone cornice and plain frieze to left,
brick cambered head door opening with blind door, 12-pane sash in
plain stone surround, and round-headed doorway with recessed door
of 6 flush panels and decorative radial fanlight. Facade to
Burford Street has 2 similar 12-pane sashes with remains of square
hoodmould over blocked central opening, and double shop front also
with full plate glass windows and stone cornice and frieze. Two-
storey bow-fronted bay along St John's Street has two 12-pane
sashes on each floor with large quoins and slightly dropped shallow
wide keystones. Narrow plat band above ground floor windows,
moulded cornice at top with curved pediment forming appearance of
mitre. Single storey wing to far right has one 12-pane sash in
stone surround with quoins, and double sliding garage doors.
