SW 94 SW VERYAN

5/118 Tredinnick Farmhouse,
- adjoining walls to north and west
and mounting block
- II

Farmhouse, garden and courtyard walls with adjoining piggery and mounting block.
House C17 remodelled early C18 and C19. U-shaped plan plus stair turret and adjoining
outshut within courtyard. Irregular 4 window west front has window, door window,
window to ground floor each with window over. Small open porch has low pitched gable.
Several straight joints indicate openings altered, probably C19. Shallow brick arches
over ground floor left and right windows. Large pane windows inserted to front circa
1960 replace small paned sashes. Large external stack to left gable end. Stone
projection to rear may be earlier stair turret or lateral stack. Window with leaded
glazing was removed from north-east wing a few years before survey. Dove holes in
south wall. Interior has early C18 dogleg stair with turned balusters over closed
string and bread oven in north-east wing. 2 panel doors to first floor rooms.
Granite coped rubble garden wall to west is swept up to form gate piers. Early - mid
C19 gate. Adjoining rubble mounting block with 5 steps to south-west corner.
Building to north side of rubble walled and cobbled north courtyard has small windows
and very low doorways.
