Farmhouse. Probably early C19. Coursed slatestone rubble front, rubble to sides and
rear. Scantle slate hipped roofs with brick chimneys over side walls. Double depth
plan formed by 2 front rooms, original hipped wing and outshut in angle heightened C20
and now with hipped roof parallel to main roof. C19 lean-to at north-west end. 2
storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3 window south-west front. Slightly left of centre
original doorway now has 16-pane sash. Other windows similar except first floor 4-
pane sash left. Cambered arches over openings with slatestone voussoirs. Entrance
door to left into small lean-to which encloses large external stack. Interior not
inspected but said to have 3 bread ovens.
