North aisle stained glass window to Emily Montague Ritchie d. 4th Jul 1903 aet 32. The panels allude to her skills as a musician with harmonium, motherhood with infant and animal husbandry with sheep and shear (or possibly a reed pen). In the head of the window angels hold banners with Latin tags: sonii (make music), fue pinna (fly on wings), ecce annala (here is my diary). The shield in the panel 1 has: Quarterly, 1 and 4, argent on a chief gules three lions heads erased or; 2 and 3, Azure a crescent or, between three cross crosslets argent. (Ritchie). Panel 3 shield has Ritchie impaled with; Vert on a bend or three hearts azure. The lions heads, crosses (transformed to fleurs de lys) and hearts form borders to the three panels. (Photo Sept 2013).
