House, now 2 dwellings. Early C18, altered, with restoration dated 1809 at
top of porch. Handmade brick with stone dressings, stone slate roof.
Double-depth 2-bay plan with projecting porch. Three storey, symmetrical;
bands on 2 levels, the lower of 2 courses, the upper 3 courses, with a
stone slate coping; central full-height porch of 2 storeys with monopitched
roof has segmental-headed window at 1st floor, and above the upper band a
datestone inscribed "Rd; 2 windows on each floor, all 2-light casements
1809"
with square stone surrounds and keystones on the heads (probably 1809
replacements), the topmost windows shorter. Small lean-to wooden porch to
inserted door to left of porch. Extruded chimney stacks at both gables.
Left gable wall has small 2-light sliding sashes on 1st and 2nd floors
towards the rear; right gable wall has modern addition at ground floor,
altered window at 1st floor, and stone doorcase at 2nd floor (blocked and
altered as window), all these to the rear of the chimney. Rear has a small
window at 1st floor. Interior not inspected, but may contain features of
interest.
