SCARISBRICK
Agricultural building in field to west of Scarisbrick Hall, at SD 386 128

II

Agricultural building, probably a feeding shelter. Probably later C19.
Iron frame, stone slate roof. Octagonal, with open sides and large
umbrella-shaped tripartite roof: the main roof overlaps an eaves canopy of
steeper pitch, and the apex is protected by a little raised canopy. The
site was formerly the junction of 4 fields divided by fences intersecting
at right angles, the building serving all 4 from these corners.
