Above the choir stalls, a wooden hatchment in a moulded frame, to Anne Brooke (d 1632), adorned with painted figures. Inscription: Here lies the body of Mistress Ann Brooke eldest daughter to Sir Calistenes Brooke Knight Banneret and the Lady Anne Brook his wife Borne in Midliborough in Zeland in the Yeare of our Lord 1603 Desendinge from the Right Honourable House of the Gobhams in Kent who when she had lived the space of twenti IX (29) years religiousli Chastly and inoffensively in the love anD honour and high reputation of all, departed this life in the year of our Lord 1632 Februari the 23d-. At the top, Arms: Gules on a chevron argent a lion rampant sable ducally crowned or, in the dexter chief a martlet of the last. (Brooke). At the sides, a skull each. Below, a winged cherubs head proper. (Sir Calistenes Brooke, of Sutton, co. Kent, was knighted in Ireland 8 May 1597 (Burkes Armory)).
