Description

Railway viaduct built by Caledonian Railway on line opened
15.2.1848. 9 segmental arches carrying double track over B722
and Kirtle Water. Bull-faced red ashlar coursers and graded
voussoirs, bands at impost level and below parapet (masonry
course below latter slightly advanced), ashlar coping with
plain iron railings; plain outer pilasters; some metal ties
inserted and some brick repairs to abutments.
