Several building phases, forming irregular small
country-house. Earliest part a mid 18th century 2-storey
3-bay E-facing house (now altered); converted to T-plan by
1787 (dated), S-facing addition (also 2 storeys 3 bays);
additions to W, plain 1901 range adjoining original house to
form triple-gabled N elevation; 1907 billiard room adjoins
1787 range.
ORIGINAL HOUSE: rendered, with red ashlar dressings;
architraved and pedimented central doorway, single window
above; outer bays altered early 20th century with pediments
above wall-head. Eaves course and cornice.
1787 RANGE: narrow unequal bays, near centre doorway (doors
not original) behind columned and pedimented porch;
eaves/lintel band; cornice. Single bay E flank, elliptical
panel in pedimented gable.
BILLIARD ROOM: 2 bays with rooflight, apex ventilator and
finialed gable.
Additions all red ashlar; corniced stacks; slated roofs
throughout. Interior altered for conversion to nursing home
circa 1984.
Courtyard to E with outbuildings and stables.
