Description

Mid 18th century stables with alterations; early 19th century
dovecot adjoining detached N range. Rubble-built with ashlar
dressings, and (except for dovecot) whitewashed with
black-painted margins. Slate roofs. L-plan main range has
loft below eaves, long S elevation with architraved ground
floor windows, segmental-arched coach house in left bay,
garage slapping; short range running N with 19th century apex
finial, arch projecting at N spans driveway below.
Detached 3-bay block to N has half-blocked segmental-arched
central wide opening.
DOVECOT: octagonal; 3-stages, vaulted at ground, forestair
to central hen-house stage, latter with 2 tiers nesting
boxes; dovecot (door accessible only by ladder) at top stage
with nesting boxes and flight-holes to some elevations.
Facetted roof with weathervane finial.
