House, now shops and offices. Mid-late C18 with later
alterations. Red brick in Flemish bond. Renewed plain tile
roof, hipped to right, with moulded eaves cornice and 2
lateral brick stacks on right.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys. 5 bays, that on left recessed and of 2
storeys; rear wing. First floor of right-hand section has four
6/6 boxed sashes with painted channelled voussoirs, keystones
and sill-band; similar 3/6 sashes above; on ground floor a
canted bay window on right with pitched leaded roof, 6/1
sashes, decorative frieze, deep sill, and flanked by vestigial
sill-band; to left, a C20 plate glass shopfront with deep
fascia; at centre, entrance has Classical architrave with 3/4
Doric columns, paterae to frieze and open pediment, panelled
reveal, enriched fanlight, and 2 stone steps; painted plinth
courses.
Left-hand bay has round-arched carriage-entrance with
rusticated painted stone quoins, voussoirs, keystone, and
decorative tympanum; blocked window above, in surround as
before.
Rear: wing on right joins with wing of No.21 (qv) and Old Wool
Barn (qv) to form courtyard.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
