Farmhouse, latterly 2 cottages, now house. Early C17, remodelled mid-
C18 with later additions and alterations. Red brick (painted to front
and right gable end) encasing timber frame; slate roof. One bay of
timber framed house survives to left, remainder demolished and second
bay added to right C18; at this time the timber framed part was brick-
skinned with stone facing to internal walls. 2 storeys with floor
band; 3 late C19 casements directly below eaves with similar windows
to left and right of off-centre entrance; late C20 casement immediately
to left. C20 nail-studded door under contemporary flat hood. Integral
end stacks. Interior: 3 deep-chamfered cross beams to ground floor
and timber frame fragmentarily exposed to first floor. Said to have
cruck truss to left gable end but this was not seen at time of resurvey
(January 1986). Late C20 two-storey addition to rear is not of special
architectural interest. Salop County Sites and Monuments Record: P.R.N.
