Bridge. 1800. Red sandstone ashlar. Single segmental arch with facing
ring consisting of chamfered, rusticated voussoirs (continued to soffit)
and raised keystones; flanking pilaster buttresses; string course to
parapet, raised to centre; wing walls curving out to octagonal end
piers with pyramidal caps. The bridge formerly carried the Shrewsbury
to Whitchurch turnpike road across the River Roden but has now been
