Family monument. Mid to later C19. Commemorates various
members of the Waddington family, including Jeremiah
Waddington (d.1850), his wife Sarah (d.1855), 5 of their
children (d.1811-1859); and 4 children of Humphrey and Sarah
Waddington (d.1846-1858, all in infancy).
Finely dressed sandstone. Gothic style, in the form of a
free-standing spire; with a square base, a plinth with a band
of quatrefoils and a cinquefoil panel in each side, with
inscriptions, and a carved crocketed pinnacle.
Forms group with Chaffer monument adjoining on south side
(qv), with Kay monument approximately 20m south (qv), and with
Church of St Peter (qv).
