5/8 Laburnum Cottage

House. Probably C18 with earlier origins and later alterations. Sandstone
rubble with extruded bread oven and stack in same material. Stack has
brick shaft. Tiled roof with fish-scales. Rectangular plan aligned west-
south-west/east-north-east. One storey and attic. South elevation has one
attic window comprising a pair of juxtaposed 2-light early C20 glazing bar
casements in weatherboarded gabled dormer. Beneath the dormer is a seg-
mentally headed 2-light wrought iron mid-C19 casement. To its left is a
C20 steel casement. Gabled glazed C20 porch to right of centre. East gable
has octagonal attic window to left of end stack. Interior noted as having
chamfered ceiling beams. Included for group value.
