6/5 Church House


GV II


House. Probably late C16 to early C17 with later alterations. Timber-
frame with plaster infill. Roughly squared and coursed sandstone rubble.
Welsh slate roofs and brick stack. L-plan with arms extending to north
and west. Two storeys. North elevation has 1:4 windows, 2-light mid-
C20 casements. Entry in gabled mid-C20 porch to left of centre of main
range. Restored gable front to left has raised roof, jettied upper storey
supported on curved struts. Gable has exposed queen struts to collar.
Frame has two rows of square panels to each storey. Interior of main range
not of special interest. Trusses of timber-framed wing not accessible.
