Farmhouse. Probably C17, substantially altered in C19. Rubble, slate roof
of varying pitches, the main range in two parts, the left part lower and
gabled, extended and set-back catslide to return. Two ridge stacks. T-plan.
Two storeys, 3 windows. Regular fenestration under segmental heads: 12-pane
early C19 casement to left of entrance, 12-pane sash to right of entrance,
glazing bar sash above ground floor casement, and right hand window, 6-pane
fixed window above and slightly left of entrance. Breeze block porch c1950
with contemporary ledged door under pitched slate roof. Blocked window with
dripstone to left of porch. One and half storeys, 2 window C19 extension
right with end stack and bread oven to right hand gable; 2 casements under
segmental heads with keystones, central ledged C19 door. Lean-to extension
to left with catslide slate roof and water-trough (qv) placed along its side.
Rear elevation of main part: rear stack, C18 cross casements and dripstones
to some windows. Interior has run-out chamfer beams, low ceilings, flagged
floors and suggestions of plank and muntin screen. Cellar under rear room
of main range with access from external stairs.
