Lychgate and churchyard boundary wall, 1854 by Coe and Godwin. Dressed
sandstone wall and plinth of lychgate, with Bath stone dressings. Timber
lychgate and gates. Shaped Welsh slates on roof. Lychgate: chamfered
plinth; braced coupled posts on wallplates, support ties of single-framed
gableted roof, sprocketed at eaves. Curved intermediate braces to eaves.
Trefoils in gablets. Double-leaf gates have trefoil panels. Wall has
chamfered plinth and coping, and curves out from lychgate. Buttresses with
offsets on north side of wall. Return walls adjoining east and west ends
are not of special interest. Included for group value.
