House, c.1824, with mid-C19 3rd storey, mid/late C19 rear extension, and
rebuilt end stacks. Brick in Flemish bond; header bond to bay window.
Rendered left return; painted brick at rear. Late C20 concrete tiled roofs.
Wrought iron railings. 3 storeys, 2 windows. At left, renewed door and
overlight in timber pilaster-and-entablature doorcase with panelled reveals.
3-storey bay window with quadrant angles at right. Sashes with glazing bars
and timber architraves. Painted sill bands. Left return has tall
round-headed stair window below first-floor window. Sashes with glazing
bars and painted sills. Mid-C20 window inserted at left. 2-storey lean-to
rear extension has row of 5 sash windows with glazing bars on first floor.
Single-storey rear extension is not of special interest. Area railings at
front, have foliate finials to ornate intermediate bars. Occupies important
corner site prominent in views along High Street East.
