Farmhouse, now house. Dated 1701, incorporating remains of an earlier
house with mid- to late C19 alterations and additions. Red brick with
C20 machine tile roofs. U-plan; central range aligned north-east/
south-west with flanking gabled cross-wings projecting to north-west,
1701 to north-east and mid- to late C19 to south-west. South-east
front: dentil brick eaves cornice to centre and left-hand return front,
plat band and parapeted gable ends to 1701 range, and central brick
stack off-ridge to front. 2 first-floor segmental-headed C19 wooden
cross-windows flanking small 2-light casement, and 2 ground-floor
segmental-headed 3-light wooden casements; ledges to former dovecote
and central stone sundial (gnomon missing) in right-hand gable. Left-
hand return front of 2 bays with 2- and 3-light segmental-headed C19
wooden casements; 2-window right-hand return front with C20 casements
and central C20 glazed door. Datestone in rear gable-end of 1701 wing
with moulded edges and inscribed: A
Interior: chamfered beams; W A
collar and tie-beam roof trusses 1701
with queen struts, largely reused timbers; dairy with low shelves.
