Long, C16 building of 2 storeys and attic, 7 windows. Very high pitched,
tiled roof with 2 substantial chimneys of narrow brick, one off-centre
and one at left. One hipped, gabled dormer to No 26 and two later, flat
dormers to No 28. Brick front of early C18 with segmental, gauged brick
arches to narrow lst floor windows. The two left lst floor windows have
been replaced by a late C19 camted bay. Two original sash windows with
glazing bars in near-flush box frames at right of No 28; the others late
C19 recessed sashes, those at left of No 28 enlarged. Sun Insurance signs
at lst floor centre of each house. No 28A is a smell mid C19 door inserted
between the other 2 houses, but it is not clear how much frontage it possess.
No 12, Nos 16 to 28 (even) and No 28A form a group.
