Former toll house at junction
of B4431 and road to Bream

II

Former Toll House, now private house. C19 enlarged c1906. Squared
rubblestone with brick dressings, hipped tile roof, 2 rendered
stacks. Rectangular with half hexagon at junction of 2 roads. On
each of 3 angles, one 3-light window (casement and ventilator). On
corner, reused large C19 gabled porch with pointed arch and half
gate to door behind. Plaque above porch inscribed:-

"Enlarged 1906
(crown)

ESH PB
COMMR DEP.SUR"

Small C20 lean-to addition on north side.
