Former Engine House at Flour Mills Colliery, now disused. c1830's.
Rubblestone with brick dressings and long and short punched quoin
blocks, slate roof with raised gabled ridge ventilation. Large
rectangular block with 7 round-headed tall windows with original
glazing bars including radial bars, 2 windows to end walls with
circular brick edged opening in gable above. Brick frieze below
eaves level of 3 courses. Additional C20 canopy on west side.
This Engine House and remaining range of Colliery buildings (q.v.)
form the most complete surviving range in the Forest of Dean.
