House. c1845. By Walter Scott. Ashlar faced with low pitched
roof not seen behind parapet. 2 storeys, symmetrical 3 bays
articulated by pilasters, and with central entrance. Door in
moulded architrave with bracketted entablature carrying scroll
decoration. Tripartite sash windows each side in pedimented
cases. 2-light sash windows above. Moulded cornice and parapet
with blocking above. End and rear wall stacks. The house forms
part of the original development of Clifton Park, laid out by
Scott as a villa development.
