House. c1845. By Walter Scott. Stucco with Welsh slate
overhanging hipped roof. 2-storeyed, 3-window range
double-depth plan with central entrance. Part glazed door with
overlight and side lights in pedimented case with engaged
columns. Flanking ground floor windows are canted bays. Upper
windows 12-pane sashes in stressed architraves with continuous
sill band. The house forms part of the original development of
Clifton Park, laid out by Scott as a villa estate.
