Chapel of Rest, now church hall. Late C19, possibly by J D
Sedding. Local freestone brought to course with greenstone
dressings; dry Delabole slate roof with gable ends.
Rectangular plan; 6 bays with porch at ritual west end.
Perpendicular style. Ritual north (NE) and south walls have
3-light traceried windows. One to each bay, with weathered
buttresses dividing the bays plus rendered flying buttress to
far right of south wall. Porch has moulded pointed-arched
doorway; similar doorway to right-hand bay and into ritual
west end within later extension. Ritual east end has 4-light
window. Rose to tracery. INTERIOR: moulded stone abutments
marking the bays and carrying a heavy moulded stone cornice.
Roof structure hidden by C20 ceiling. Included for group
value.
