Terrace of 4 houses. Datestone 1818. Dressed Killas with brick
arches; Nos 12 & 13 have asbestos slate roofs; No.14 has dry
Delabole slate roofs; No.15 has grouted scantle slate roofs;
brick stacks over the cross party walls and at gable ends
(including right-hand return) and cast-iron ogee gutters to
Nos 12 & 13. Double-depth plans. 2 storeys; 8-window range.
Mid-floor string; keyed round arches over doors; keyed
segmental arches over windows; old panelled doors to Nos 13 &
14; spoked fanlight to No.14; original sashes with glazing
bars to Nos 14 & 15, otherwise later sashes and C20 doors.
INTERIORS not inspected. One of these houses was for a time
the home of the remarkable Truro architect, Philip Sambell,
who was responsible for the design of the Church of St John,
Lemon Street (qv), and various houses in the early C19.
