Town house, now flats. 1833. Stucco on masonry with granite
dressings to principal fronts, otherwise local rubble; hipped
dry Delabole slate roofs with wide eaves on paired brackets,
left-hand roof behind parapet with moulded cornice; cast-iron
ogee gutters. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 1:1:1-fenestration
to south front of 3-window range. Original tripartite sashes
with glazing bars within granite architraves with granite
mullions under moulded hoods, except for narrow windows left
of doorway with later 4-pane sashes; parapeted left-hand bay
projects and has central 2-storey projection with 2 windows
and quoin strips. Doric doorcase with fluted columns in antis
under right-hand window. East front of 1:4 fenestration has
2-storey canted bay on the left. Other elevations have
segmental brick arches or timber lintels over original or
horned copy sashes with glazing bars. INTERIOR not inspected
but likely to be of interest and permission to take
photographs or notes within grounds refused. SUBSIDIARY
FEATURES: high rubble garden walls of which the wall linked at
right-angles to south front of house has original slate
coping.
