TL 1243 OLD WARDEN HIGH STREET (East Side)

GV II

Pair of Shuttleworth Estate cottages. Plaques show 1881 and Shuttleworth
emblem. Yellow brick with red brick dressings, upper part with colourwashed
render and applied timber framing. Half hipped clay tile roof with bands of
fishscale tiles. 4-room plan, one storey and attics. Ground floor has 2- and
3-light windows, 6 in all, attic has 4 gabled dormers, 2 with 3-light windows
2 with 2-light windows. All windows are cast iron lattice casements. 2
multiple ridge stacks with variety of Tudor style pots. Decorative ridge
cresting with finials. C20 single storey additions to both ends.
