--9-- One of the Belvoir Angels headstones by a Hickling craftsman. Rectangular slate with round-faced winged angel and the date 1728 in the corners and -BE YE READY- in raised letters, Here lyeth the Body of Elizabeth wife of John Pilkinton d.Oct. 24th 1727 in her 55th year-. Poem:- You readers all both old and young/ Your time on earth will not be long/ For death will come and die you must/ Like to me return to dust-. (Photo Sept 2012).
