House. Dated 1703 with late C18 - early C19 alterations and late C19
addition. Coursed squared gritstone, graduated stone slate roof. 2-storey,
2-bay end-lobby-entry plan with added bay to left and rear outshut. Quoins.
Main range: glazed door in added (C19) single-storey porch to left, the
lintel (repositioned) has ogee moulding and an inscription 'I M B'.

Windows: ground floor, centre and right: paired, of 4 panes in plain stone
surrounds; first floor: two 3-light recessed-chamfered mullioned windows.
Hollow-moulded kneelers, ashlar gable copings, corniced end stacks. Added
bay to left: a square window in plain stone surround to each floor. Right
return: 2-light recessed-chamfered mullioned window ground floor, right.
Rear: left: small square window to ground floor, a 4-light window under the
eaves, above, both recessed-chamfered mullioned. Interior not inspected at
resurvey but reported by owner to contain curved cruck-type timbers similar
to the truss in the barn (qv). A gateway attached to rear right has lintel
inscribed 'P I H 1768'. The lintel dated 1768 may also date ground-floor
window alterations.
