House and attached barn. Barn mid - late C18, house added probably early
C19. Coursed squared gritstone, graduated stone slate roof. Barn: 3 bays;
quoins; wide central cart entrance with quoined jambs, and monolithic
lintel. Byre door to right now blocked has narrow jambs with tie stones.
Shaped kneeler and gable coping to right. House attached to left: 2
storeys, 1 bay, one and a half rooms deep. 6-panel door to right in
surround with tie-stones; blocked window to left is tall and has stone sill
and lintel. There is a similar partly blocked window first floor centre.
Shaped kneeler and gable coping to left, probably reused from left end wall
of barn; base of end stack to left. Interior: barn has queen strut roof;
house has fireplace against left gable wall of 2 solid jambs supporting
large stone mantelpiece. The house derelict at time of resurvey.
