House, now offices. c1827-37, with mid C19 and mid C20
additions and alterations. Stucco with concrete tile roof and
side wall stacks.
Plinth, modillion eaves, balustrade with panels of Greek Key.
3 storeys plus rear basement; 3 window range.
Symmetrical front to Park Terrace, with a central canted bay
window, 2 storeys, 3 sashes. Central C20 glazed door,
remaining windows plain sashes. On either side, a square bay
window, 2 storeys, with tripartite plain sashes. All the bay
windows have dentillated cornices. Above again, 3 glazing bar
sashes with moulded surrounds.
Rear elevation, to Ropewalk, has to left a rear wing, 3
storeys, raised late C19. To left, a canted bay window, 2
storeys, 3 lights. Above, an overhanging oriel bow window on
brackets, 6 lights, with chamfered mullions. The right return
is carried on a colonnade. To right, a gateway with corniced
square piers topped with urns, and an outbuilding with a
balustrade.
