House, formerly The Royal Oak Inn. Late C18 with earlier core, perhaps of
C17. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Timber framed and plastered. Plaintiled roofs
with end chimneys of red brick. Small-pane sash windows; those at ground
storey have tripartite sashes. Fine C18 doorway; 6-panelled door with fieldea
panels and egg-and-dart enriched frame; dentilled pediment carved consoles and
Corinthian pilasters.
