Row of 4 estate workers' cottages. 1st ΒΌ C19 probably by Peter Atkinson (York),
for Edward Lascelles 1st Earl of Harewood, much altered mid-C20. Hammer-dressed
stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 12 1st-floor windows though only 4 are
original. Each of 3 bays with disposition as No's 48, 49, 50 Bondgate (q.v.)
originally altered to 2 bays of windows to one side of doorway the window in the
2nd bay formerly the doorway. 3 windows above only the centre one original.
Altered glazing. 4 stone ridge stacks. Rear: each has mid-C20 flat-roofed
extension out of sympathy with the building.
