II

House. Dated 1631 with late C18 alterations. Random rubble to
earliest build, hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. L-shaped.
2 storeys. 3-room plan. C18 house to left set forward from
earlier range, has quoins; 2 bays of 2-light flat-faced mullioned
windows with slightly recessed mullions, those to ground floor
retaining 4-paned sashes. Set between is re-used dated doorway
with composite jambs. Tudor-arched lintel with sunken spandrels
and moulded surround. Coped gable to left. Gable stacks. Set
back to right is earlier single cell: 4-light double-chamfered
mullioned window with ogee-moulded mullions. Hoodmould with
straight returns. 2-light flat-faced mullioned window over to
lst floor. Inserted doorway with monolithic jambs to left of small
chamfered-light. Rear wall entirely C17. 3 bays of windows.
1st bay has inserted sashed windows with plain stone surrounds. 2nd
and 3rd bays each have 2-light double-chamfered mullioned window
with small chamfered-light to 1st floor. Interior not inspected.
