House. Early C19. Roughcast, probably over brick, with slate
roof hipped to front and brick stack. Double-depth plan.
2 storeys. Blank elevation with hipped roof facing Holyrood
Street with panelled clasping pilasters. Left return has
glazing bar sashes to 2-window range. Entrance to right return
flanked by glazing bar sashes to left and 2-storey outshut to
right with single-storey scullery further to right.
INTERIOR: features include panelled doors and shutters; rear
left room has enriched cornice, black marble fireplace and
high skirtings.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: high brick wall encloses garden to
south-east with doorway onto Holyrood Street and, onto Mill
Lane, mid C19 coachhouse of limestone rubble with brick
dressings and double doors to right-hand room with saddleracks
and stable to centre.
