The Globe PH

Public house. c1830s. Stucco with later textured finish;
hipped dry Delabole slate roof; brick chimneys over the cross
walls and at the left and right; cast-iron ogee gutters.
Rectangular plan with the rooms ranged around a former shallow
courtyard with carriageway entrance towards the left. 2
storeys; 4-window range. Late C19 or C20 horned sashes set in
squat moulded wood architraves to ground floor and tall late
C19 architrave to first floor. Squat ground-floor window, tall
first-floor windows. Carriageway entrance towards the left set
in moulded wood architrave and doorway with overlight to right
set in raised stucco architrave. INTERIOR: ground floor
altered C20 but retains some fragments of partitions and other
carpentry and joinery details, otherwise not inspected.
