3 shops with accommodation above. c1830s. Stuccoed fronts;
asbestos slate roof with brick chimneys over cross party
walls. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 3 x 3-window range
fronts. Original 12-pane sashes set in moulded wood
architraves to first floor. Late C19 shop fronts with
plate-glass windows: No.55 has rusticated round-headed doorway
adjoining shop front with original fittings to fascia with
blind. No.22 River Street has similar shop front to right and
corner shop with central splayed doorway and glazed door;
terminal pilasters and consoles to fascia with moulded
cornice. INTERIOR not inspected.
