House in row, with shop. Late C16 or C17 timber-framed range with early C19 front block. Flemish bond brickwork, timber-frame, slate or tile roofs, brick stack. Double-depth plan, incorporating a right-hand timber-framed range of right-angle two-room plan with a central cross passage now containing the stack in the attic.
Three storeys and basement, two-windowed. Large 16-pane sashes to brick voussoirs with decorative keystones, stone cills. Ground floor has C19 shop front with central door under a transom-light, all to a shallow fascia. Lofty parapet, with stone modillion cornice and brick blocking course, facing twin-gabled slate-covered roofs. Plain brick return wall, right, large brick stack to party wall, left. Rear wing is in two storeys, with steep tiled roof, in square panel framing to Yarnell's Alley, and brick rear gable.
