GV II

House, now attached pair. c1730, divided early C19. Stucco
with limestone and Pennant dressings, brick party wall stacks
and a double Roman half-hipped mansard roof. Double-depth
plan. Early Georgian style. 3 storeys, attic and cellar;
5-window range. Originally forming a symmetrical front with
rusticated pilaster strips, moulded string courses to each
floor carried over from No.306 to the left, and moulded
parapet coping. Paired C19 central doorways to the left of
centre have jambs with wide reeds, corner quatrefoils and
coarse Greek key lintels, to 6-panel doors with glazed top
panels. Windows, separated 3:2 by the division, have ashlar
keys to horned plate-glass sashes in exposed frames. 2 raking
dormers. Rear has Pennant rubble string courses, a projecting
full-height extension overlapping with No.306 (qv), and a
semicircular-arched window. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY
FEATURES: attached front area walls and capped piers.
