Attached house. 1812 on deeds. Brick with limestone dressings, party wall stack and pantile mansard roof. Originally single-depth plan, since extended behind. Late Georgian style. Three storeys, attic and basement; one window range. Brick quoins to the left side and a moulded coping to the parapet. Right-hand semicircular-arched doorway has keys and imposts, plate-glass fanlight with a lantern, and six-panel door. Rubbed brick flat arches with stone keys to ground-floor 8/8-pane and second floor 4/4-pane sashes, and a wide relieving arch over first-floor canted oriel with 8/8-pane and flanking 4/4-pane sashes, with a reeded architrave and roundels; small raking dormer with casements.

INTERIOR: entrance hall divided by a plain semicircular arch, to a rear lateral dogleg winder stair with an uncut string, stick balusters, column newels and ramped rail, with a winder stair to the attic; small rooms between stair and party wall; reeded architraves to six-panel doors. Flagged rear yard now partly enclosed.

SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached wrought-iron front basement area railings. Built as a lodging house for the Hotwells spa.
