ST 88 SE HULLAVINGTON SURRENDELL
5/51 Surrendell Farmhouse
GV II

Farmhouse. Circa 1620-40 with later extension to the rear.
Coursed rubble roughcast with flush rusticated dressed stone
quoins, ashlar dressings to windows and copings and gabled stone
slate roof. Two pairs of tall rendered stacks set on the diagonal.
Two-storey and attic, 3-gabled-bay south front: 5 windows.
Windows are 2 and 3-light ovolo mullions with hoodmoulds and small
pane casements though some to the right-hand have lost their
mullions. Four openings to ground floor: left-hand plank door, 2-
leaf French windows, off-centre projecting flat-headed stone porch
with 2-leaf, part glazed doors and 4-light casement in original
opening.
Interior. Inglenook fireplace in ground floor central room, some
chamfered beams and original roof structure throughout.
