5/52 Barn to the east of Surrendell
Farmhouse

Barn. C17 with later alterations and additions. Coursed rubble
with ashlar to midstrey jambs, wooden lintels and gabled stone
slate roof. Long range attached to east end wall of farmhouse.
Two midstreys to south front with half-hipped roofs and between
them a lean-to outshut with plank door and 3-light casements.
Steps up to loft to left-hand with part glazed plank door. Two
further casements in this section. Interior. Original butt-
purlin, collar and tie-beam roof structure of 11 bays.
